Job Description: Oracle Database Administrator (DBA)Job Title: Oracle DBA (RAC, Data Guard, GoldenGate)

Reports To: IT Manager / Database Lead
Job Summary: The Oracle DBA is responsible for the installation, configuration, upgrade, administration, monitoring, maintenance, and performance tuning of Oracle databases. This role demands strong expertise in Oracle RAC, Data Guard, GoldenGate, and advanced SQL and performance tuning.
Key Responsibilities:Perform RAC installation, configuration, and upgrades to ensure high availability and scalability.
Implement, manage, and maintain Oracle Data Guard for disaster recovery solutions.
Manage and configure Oracle GoldenGate for real-time data replication and synchronization.
Conduct SQL query tuning and optimization to improve application performance.
Perform database performance tuning, including memory optimization, I/O performance, and query analysis.
Monitor database health, perform regular backups, and ensure recovery processes are in place.
Collaborate with development, application, and infrastructure teams for database-related tasks.
Troubleshoot database-related issues and provide quick resolutions.
Apply Oracle patches and perform version upgrades as needed.
Ensure database security, compliance, and best practices.
Required Skills & Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
5+ years of experience as an Oracle DBA with hands-on experience in:
RAC installation and upgrade
Oracle Data Guard setup and maintenance
Oracle GoldenGate configuration and troubleshooting
SQL performance tuning and database optimization
Strong knowledge of Oracle Database versions (12c/19c/21c preferred).
Hands-on experience with backup and recovery strategies.
Proficient in Linux/Unix environments.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred Skills:Experience with cloud-based Oracle databases (OCI, AWS RDS, Azure).
Knowledge of automation tools for database management.
Certification in Oracle (OCP/OCA) is an added advantage.
