Role Overview:

Mobility Lead


Key Responsibilities:

Technical Leadership

  • Architect and develop scalable native mobile applications (iOS and Android).
  • Set and enforce coding standards, version control strategies, and mobile best practices.
  • Conduct code reviews, manage PRs, and uphold high code quality.
  • Evaluate and integrate new tools and automation to improve team efficiency.
  • Drive observability practices like real-time monitoring and alerting.

Project & Release Management

  • Estimate efforts for features, bugs, and improvements.
  • Plan and execute sprints, releases, and mobile product roadmaps.
  • Define bug triaging and escalation processes.
  • Handle cross-functional release dependencies for multi-region and multi-brand apps.

Team Management & Collaboration

  • Mentor senior and mid-level engineers across platforms.
  • Guide on architecture, performance tuning, and platform standards.
  • Lead feedback discussions and support performance development plans.
  • Host quarterly team updates and internal communications.

Process & Quality Enablement

  • Implement Agile ceremonies, CI/CD, and TDD practices.
  • Ensure code documentation and maintain Git hygiene.
  • Work closely with QA, DevOps, and Design for seamless delivery.

Training, Hiring & Communication

  • Identify skill gaps and design upskilling programs.
  • Lead internal tech sessions and platform briefings.
  • Support hiring, onboarding, and performance evaluation processes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent.
  • 8+ years of experience in native iOS and Android development, with 2+ years in a leadership role.
  • Strong expertise in Swift, Kotlin/Java, and mobile release management.
  • Hands-on with CI/CD tools, GitHub, and build/release automation.
  • Knowledge of monitoring and crash analytics tools like Firebase, Instabug, or Sentry.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in managing multi-brand or multi-region mobile apps.
  • Familiarity with A/B testing, feature flags, and remote configuration tools.
  • Knowledge of App Store and Google Play release processes and compliance.
