🧺 Job Title: Stock In‑Charge (Kids Apparel Startup)🟢 Job Summary. We are seeking a proactive, detail-minded Stock In‑Charge to oversee all aspects of inventory control—from receiving to storage, ordering, and reporting. ✅ Key Responsibilities - Forecast & Replenishment Use sales data, seasonal trends, and demand signals to forecast inventory needs and create replenishment plans to avoid stockouts or overstocks Receiving & Quality Check Inspect incoming shipments, verify items against purchase orders, and ensure goods meet quality standards for sensitive kids’ apparel. Stockroom Oversight Organize and maintain the stockroom, properly stacking stocks in shelfs for smooth operations. Inventory Auditing & Records Perform regular cycle counts or full audits, reconcile discrepancies, update inventory systems, and maintain high‑accuracy records. Purchase & Supplier Coordination Liaise with suppliers or manufacturers—prepare purchase requisitions & Sales Billing Data & Reporting Generate and analyze inventory reports (turnover, aging, slow movers); recommend actions to reduce excess and improve cash flow; share insights. Process Improvement & SOPs Develop and refine SOPs for inventory handling, storage, and stock control best practices; implement improvements to boost efficiency Team Collaboration Work closely with sales, procurement, design, warehousing, and marketing teams to align inventory levels with demand plans and promotional pushes. Hands‑on Involvement Small‑team/startup setting may require you to assist in packing, returns processing, and occasional order fulfillment tasks. 🎓 Qualifications & Skills Education Should be class 12 pass or above. Graduate is preferable. Experience 1–3 years in inventory control, stock management, or logistics, ideally in retail or apparel (kids’ fashion especially helpful). Technical Proficiency Comfortable using inventory management tools (e.g. Tally, Shoppers9 ERP/MRP software) and strong Excel skills (pivot tables, forecasting, reporting) Analytical & Organizational Skills Sharp attention to detail, numeric accuracy, and the ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced, evolving environment. Communication & Negotiation Capable at vendor liaison and internal coordination; articulate clear feedback and maintain good relationships. Adaptability & Initiative Thrives navigating changing business needs in a startup culture; proactive about resolving inventory issues. A mindset geared toward minimizing dead stock and optimizing cash flow.
