Information Technology Infrastructure Specialist

Role Summary:

Responsible for managing OT infrastructure and cybersecurity in a manufacturing setup with integrated PLC, SCADA, and IT-OT systems. The role includes securing networks, managing operational IT assets, enforcing access controls, and driving strategic security initiatives across OT/ICS environments in collaboration with cross-functional teams.

OT Infra:

• Identify, document, and report OT/ICS-related risks to the Security Lead.
• Manage user accounts and privileges, handle logical access changes, and perform periodic reviews.
• Oversee physical and virtual machines; conduct hardware/software audits to close security gaps.
• Apply patches, updates, and configurations to secure all operating systems — especially remote-accessible systems.
• Safeguard network traffic and equipment; maintain device inventory and address lists; manage VPNs, routers, and security policies.
• Configure secure remote access; track successful/failed logins; monitor user activity and log system changes.
• Enforce port restrictions by default; log and control usage only when essential.
• Ensure implementation of organizational password policy across OT/ICS systems.

OT Security:

• Develop and manage OT/ICS cybersecurity plans, internal controls, and improvement strategies.
• Conduct and oversee OT/ICS risk assessments and implement risk treatment plans.
• Review and approve security-related business cases; manage funding requests and report progress to the Security Manager.
• Monitor, track, and report program success through defined schedules for continuous improvement.
• Maintain and update OT/ICS security documentation and charters.
• Guide Asset Owners with training plans and capability development.
• Build and implement a comprehensive OT/ICS security communications strategy.
• Respond promptly to security alerts and incidents, escalate through defined channels as needed, and coordinate end-to-end threat, vulnerability, and risk assessments.

Qualification:

• BE / B. Tech in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Proven experience in managing IT services in a plant or manufacturing environment.
• Experience : 2 to 6 yrs
