We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Head of Operations to lead the deployment, maintenance, and operationalisation of our cutting-edge service robots within the retail sector.


This pivotal role will be instrumental in ensuring the seamless integration and optimal performance of our robotic fleet, enhancing customer experience, and driving measurable value for our retail partners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Planning & Execution:

    Develop and implement comprehensive operational strategies for the deployment, maintenance, and ongoing management of service robot fleets in retail environments.
  • Deployment & Integration:

    Oversee the end-to-end deployment lifecycle of service robots, including site assessments, installation, configuration, and seamless integration with client's existing systems (e.g., POS, CRM, operational platforms).
  • Maintenance & Support:

    Establish and manage robust preventative maintenance programs, technical support protocols, and efficient troubleshooting processes to ensure maximum robot uptime and performance.
  • Operational Excellence:

    Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize robot utilization, operational efficiency, and service delivery, leveraging data analytics and performance metrics.
  • Team Leadership & Development:

    Recruit, train, mentor, and lead a high-performing team of field service engineers, technicians, and operations specialists.
  • Client Relationship Management:

    Collaborate closely with retail partners to understand their operational goals, ensure robot operations align with their objectives, and provide exceptional ongoing support and consultation.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration:

    Work effectively with internal teams including Sales, Product Development, Engineering, and Marketing to ensure successful product launches, gather feedback for improvements, and support overall business growth.
  • Budget & Resource Management:

    Manage operational budgets, allocate resources effectively, and optimize costs while maintaining high standards of service.
  • Compliance & Safety:

    Ensure all robotic operations comply with relevant safety regulations, industry standards, and company policies.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting:

    Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to robot performance and utilization, providing regular reports and actionable insights to stakeholders.
  • Innovation & Adaptation:

    Stay abreast of industry trends in robotics, AI, and retail technology to identify opportunities for new applications and continuous improvement of our service offerings.


Experience & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 12-15 years of industry experience in operations management

    , with a significant portion in a leadership role within a technology-driven environment, preferably involving hardware deployment and maintenance.
  • Proven experience with service robotics, automation, or similar high-tech equipment, particularly in the retail, hospitality, or public sectors.
  • Strong understanding of Robot-as-a-Service (RaaS) models and their operational implications.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects, multiple deployments, and a geographically dispersed team.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Proficiency in operational software, project management tools, and data analysis platforms.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment.
