Job Description:

The CVPR Lab at IIT Ropar is seeking a highly motivated Junior Research Fellow (JRF) to contribute to research in quantum machine learning and theoretical deep learning. The selected candidate will assist in the development of novel algorithms, perform rigorous mathematical analysis, and contribute to high-impact publications under expert supervision.

Eligibility:

• B.Tech / M.Tech in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Mathematics and Computing, Engineering Physics, Electrical and Electronics or related fields

• Strong foundation in linear algebra, probability theory, and machine learning

• GATE/NET qualification is mandatory for B.Tech graduates, and preferred (not mandatory) for M.Tech candidates

Desired Skills:

• Proficiency in deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow

• Familiarity with quantum computing platforms like Qiskit or PennyLane

• Strong analytical and research aptitude

Position 2: Postdoctoral Fellow

Research Area:

Quantum Machine Learning / Theoretical Deep Learning

Job Description:

The CVPR Lab invites applications for a Postdoctoral Fellow position to lead research at the intersection of quantum computing and deep learning. The selected candidate will be expected to work independently on advanced theoretical problems, contribute to ongoing funded projects, and mentor junior researchers in the lab.

Eligibility:

• Ph.D. in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Mathematics and Computing, Engineering Physics, Electrical and Electronics or a closely related discipline

• Demonstrated record of high-quality research publications in top-tier conferences or journals

Desired Skills:

• Expertise in variational quantum algorithms, quantum kernel methods, or quantum-enhanced deep learning

• Strong theoretical background in topology, geometry, or partial differential equations (PDEs)

• Excellent academic writing and collaborative research skills
