Johnson Controls Global Marine and Navy business delivers HVAC, Fire Protection & Refrigeration solutions to a wide range of applications within the Cruise, Offshore, Naval and Marine markets.
As a member of our sales team, you will be focussed at driving new sales service. With our offices based in Pune, Cochin, Mumbai, India, you will form part of our established Service Sales Teams based across the world. The role will require you to travel as dictated by customer meetings etc.
How you will do it
As a service sales engineer, you will be responsible for targeting existing customer growth by promoting and selling our aftersales services such as, spare and retrofit jobs on HVAC, Refrigeration and chillers within our segment. This will also include commercial marine jobs for which we need to sell our PRIME retrofit jobs.
We are seeking people with passion, enthusiasm and the tenacity to seek those opportunities then execute on them. You will be supported by enterprise tools, data sets, valuable customer insight and value selling concepts to deliver targeted growth. You will also ensure effective adoption of Company systems, tools, pricing policies and sales processes.
Through using our current market intelligence and industry networking tools you will blend field activity with conversations with new clients to capture any opportunities available to you.
Salesforce.com is the CRM tool within the business and our Marketing function is also able to support with external communications and tailoring customer campaigns you require to assist you with performing your growth strategy.
What will you do:
Min qualification shall be BE(Mech) having 12-15 years of experience in HVAC/Refrigeration/chiller systems within the Marine or offshore Market covering field sales and in-depth knowledge of business development, opportunity, and pipeline management. Highly self-motivated with a strong drive to meet and exceed sales goals. Proven track record of achieving results and closing deals. He should be familiar with Indian Navy requirements pertaining to HVAC, AC and refrigeration.
Responsible and accountable for end-to-end ownership of sales. This includes generation of quotes by doing HVAC load calculations, short terms and long-term strategy for business, owning the product portfolio, identifying customer needs and creating strong value propositions to serve these needs.
Make marketing and service sales presentations to owners as required. Ability to identify and pursue new business opportunities through various channels like networking, utilising internal and market data and social media
Excellent verbal and written communication skills (English/ local language) to effectively convey value propositions and build relationships with potential clients.
Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, understanding their needs and providing appropriate solutions. Ability to quickly adapt to new technologies and sales techniques to stay ahead in the market.
Knowledge on HVAC, chilled water systems and handling of Indian Navy projects is mandatory.
