Job Summary:

Financial Data Analyst

Cleaning, transforming, and interpreting financial data and reports (such as accounting statements and industry statistics).

Creating data visualisations to support informed business decisions and provide actionable insights.

Maintaining and updating internal datasets as required.

Responsibilities:

Data Cleaning and Transformation:

Microsoft Excel

· Transform cleaned data into a format that can be readily used for visualisations and analysis.

Dataset Updating:

· Maintain and update internal datasets on industry metrics on a regular basis, ensuring that information is accurate and up-to-date.

· Perform quantitative analysis of financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.

Report Preparation:

· Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports, including financial data insights and dashboards.

Trend Analysis:

· Monitor and analyse key financial metrics and performance indicators.

· Identify patterns and trends in financial data to provide actionable insights.

Collaboration:

· Communicate effectively in a fast-paced environment to meet tight deadlines.

· Work closely with internal teams to support data-driven decision-making.

Data Integrity:

· Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data through regular validation and cleansing.

· Develop and implement data management procedures and protocols.

Requirements:

Non-Negotiables:

• Education:

  Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.\
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.

Experience:

• 2-4 years as a financial analyst or in a similar role.
• Strong proficiency in

  Microsoft Excel

  (including

  Power Query

  ) and

  Python

  .
• Strong proficiency in data visualisation tools such as

  Tableau

  .
• Familiarity with reporting tools such as

  PowerPoint

  and

  Canva.

Skills:

• Understanding of financial statements (Income Statement, Cash Flow Statement, Balance Sheet).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Nice-to-Have:

• Familiarity with data analysis tools such as

  SQL

  Snowflake

• Knowledge of the ETL process and data management best practices.
• Experience in industries like
