We are seeking a skilled
ECAD Librarian
to join our Bangalore team. In this role, you will create and maintain schematic symbols, PCB footprints, and component data to ensure accuracy, compliance, and design efficiency. Your work will directly support high-quality product development across multiple global engineering teams.
Our Team
You will be part of the
Global Engineering Services (GES)
division, supporting the
Advanced Engineering Team
. We collaborate across design, procurement, and manufacturing to maintain robust ECAD libraries and enable efficient, cost-effective engineering solutions.
What You Will Do
- Develop and manage schematic symbols and footprints aligned with IPC-7351 and internal standards
- Validate component information using datasheets and supplier data for accuracy and compliance
- Collaborate with design teams, engineers, and component specialists to resolve library issues and support part selection
- Maintain library databases, including part lifecycle updates, PCN validations, and parametric changes
- Contribute to part classification, obsolescence management, alternate sourcing, and cost optimization
- Provide technical guidance on library use and best practices
- Drive process improvements and automation to enhance productivity and data integrity
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- BE/BTech in Electrical or Electronics & Communication Engineering
- 5+ years of experience in ECAD library development or component engineering
- Proficient in ECAD tools such as Cadence OrCAD/Allegro or Altium Designer
- Strong knowledge of electronic components, footprints, symbols, and IPC standards
- Familiarity with RoHS, lifecycle management, and compliance documentation
What Will Put You Ahead
- Experience collaborating with global cross-functional teams
- Knowledge of SolidWorks or NX for 3D component modeling
- Proficiency with library/database tools like Teamcenter, Access, and Excel
- Understanding of DFR, PCN handling, and value engineering practices
- Strong planning, self-management, and problem-solving skills
