Cloud Systems Engineer(GCP)

Job Description We are seeking a motivated and experienced Cloud Systems Engineer working on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to join our dynamic team in Pune. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in cloud computing principles and hands-on experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud infrastructure. This role requires excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Infrastructure Management: Design, deploy, and manage scalable, secure, and resilient cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Automation: Develop and maintain automation scripts using languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell to streamline operational tasks and improve efficiency. CI/CD Pipelines: Implement and manage continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines for application deployment. Monitoring and Optimization: Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize cloud resource utilization to ensure high availability and cost-effectiveness. Collaboration: Work closely with development, quality assurance, and security teams to ensure seamless and secure application delivery. Security and Compliance: Implement and maintain security best practices and ensure compliance with industry standards. Documentation: Create and maintain clear and comprehensive documentation for cloud infrastructure, processes, and procedures. Communication: Effectively communicate project status, technical issues, and solutions to team members and management. Required Skills and Qualifications Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Cloud Platforms: 3+ years of hands-on experience with one or more major cloud providers ( GCP). Certifications are a plus. Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Proficiency with IaC tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation. Containerization: Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and container orchestration tools like Kubernetes. Operating Systems: Strong knowledge of Linux and/or Windows Server administration. Scripting: Proficiency in at least one scripting language (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell). Networking: Solid understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs, firewalls). Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present technical information clearly and concisely.
