Position: Civil and Structural ManagerJob Description Responsible for managing and supervising the team of discipline engineers and designers. Ultimate responsible for the quality of the engineering being executed and delivered by the team. Provide training, support and development to the team. Develop and encourage engineering progression through SLB programs. Assign engineering resources to proposals, projects and operation supports as needed Roles and Responsibilities:Monitor and assess engineering performance, quality and provide feedback for improvement. Undertake site or sub-supplier visits as required to investigate/trouble shoot/resolve technical issues. Knowledge on topographical and geotechnical studies is essential and poses design experience in shallow / deep foundation. Assess team skills/competencies and create individual development plans. Monitor resource loading and develop action plans for staffing as required. Review and update practices, procedures and forms required for engineering execution. Support supply-chain with technical audits of sub-suppliers and fabricators. Rollout out new engineering processes and software. Check, approve and validate engineering deliverables for proposals and projects.Familiar with different type of material grades, painting standards and passive fire protection. Perform structural design calculations using STAAD and Participate in model and other design review meetings as required. Participate in client meetings as required to provide technical input and execution guidance. Undertake root cause analysis and provide reports to non-conformances identified on projects. Assist with recruitment and undertake interviews as required. Develop third party engineering companies. Review and approve manhours estimation and review of scope matrix / technical clarifications prepared by discipline engineers. Advise and assist project and discipline engineers with the interpretation and clarification of applicable industry codes and client specification requirements. Guide the team on the “Lessons learned” process and utilize findings from the process to update tools and processes. Provide advice to the team in Identifying the right engineering design vendor and execute the project inline with the schedule & budget. Strong technical knowledge of its engineering discipline. Strong leader with developed soft skills. Excellent communicator and good listener. Knowledge of international standards (ACI, EURO, BS ES, ASCE, API etc.,) and design codes for its discipline Qualifications and Experience: Education Qualification: Bachelors in civil engineering or Master in Structural Engineering or Masters in Offshore Structures Experience 15+ years industry experience Prior design work experience as lead for a minimum of 5 years in Production Facility Engineering and minimum of 3 years in offshore Engineering Expertise:Experience in executing proposal, FEED and detail engineering of various oil & gas projects. Thorough knowledge on reputed client specifications and international codes / standards.
