With our exhaustive learning programs, 1:1 mentor support for effective doubt resolution and over 400+ doubts being resolved per hour, our focus lies on crafting learning experiences that equip candidates with learning, application and demonstration of capabilities in the software development domain. A little bit about you We are looking for a high-performing Business Development Manager 1 (BDM-1) to spearhead the growth of our Data Science course vertical at Coding Ninjas. This is a team management role that combines strategic planning, hands-on sales execution, and people leadership. The ideal candidate is a proven EdTech sales professional who thrives in a high-ownership, performance-driven environment. Responsibilities: Team Building & Leadership Lead and mentor a newly hired team of 5 fresh Business Development Executives (BDEs) Drive performance through structured feedback, real-time coaching, and daily call reviews Establish a high-performance culture aligned with Coding Ninjas' values Sales Target Ownership Own and deliver the monthly sales target of 40 orders for the Data Science program Drive sales through both inbound leads and outbound outreach strategies Use data to track funnel metrics and intervene at the right stages Sales Enablement & Training Provide ongoing support and objection-handling training to junior team members Monitor call quality, CRM hygiene, follow-ups, and closure metrics Collaborate with internal training and marketing teams for relevant resources Stakeholder Collaboration Act as the primary bridge between marketing, operations, and product teams to optimize lead quality and user experience Work closely with the strategy team to identify key improvement areas and market trends Reporting & Forecasting Maintain high CRM accuracy and lead pipeline visibility using tools like LeadSquared Provide weekly and monthly reporting on individual and team performance Identify data-driven insights for improving conversion rate and revenue Requirements 2+ years of experience in EdTech sales targeting working professionals Proven track record of selling Data Science courses priced above Rs.1L Prior experience in managing or mentoring a sales team is strongly preferred Strong familiarity with CRMs like LeadSquared or Salesforce Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills Strong knowledge of the Data Science career landscape and market demand Ability to inspire, coach, and lead early-career sales professionals Data-driven decision maker with a hands-on approach Comfortable in high-stakes, target-driven environments Prior experience in a startup or high-growth setup is a plus
