Job Summary :

We are seeking a highly skilled Big Data Tester to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for validating and ensuring the quality of big data solutions across various platforms. You will work with cutting-edge tools and technologies to test large-scale distributed systems, ensuring the accuracy, performance, and reliability of data in complex ecosystems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Test Planning and Strategy

  :
• Design, develop, and execute test plans and test cases for big data applications.
• Work closely with the development team to understand the system architecture and data flow.
• Define testing strategies for different big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, Hive, etc.

• Big Data Testing

  :
• Perform functional, regression, performance, and integration testing for big data applications.
• Ensure data accuracy and integrity in data processing and storage.
• Validate ETL processes, data pipelines, and transformations in large-scale distributed systems.

• Automation and Tooling

  :
• Automate test cases using big data-specific tools like Apache JMeter, Selenium, or custom scripts.
• Leverage frameworks like

  TestNG

  PyTest

  to automate functional and regression tests.
• Use data validation and comparison tools for validating large datasets and ensuring accuracy.

• Performance and Scalability Testing

• Conduct performance tests to assess the scalability and speed of big data platforms.
• Perform load and stress testing on large datasets to ensure platform reliability under high load.

• Issue Reporting & Collaboration

• Document defects, track their progress, and work closely with developers to resolve issues.
• Collaborate with data engineers, developers, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and specifications.
• Review test results, perform root cause analysis, and propose solutions to improve data quality and system performance.
