Assistant Manager ESG & Sustainability

About the company: One of the leading consulting organization helping Indian corporates to establish their internal processes to achieve and sustain their business objective mainly by conducting internal audits. The organization is working with the companies to develop suitable strategies to meet their sustainability related challenging goals and providing services to clients who are disclosing information against the global and national reporting guidelines such as BRSR, GRI, SASB, TCFD, UNPRI, UNGC, SDG, GHG Protocol, CDP, IIRC.

You will be a member of multidisciplinary team combining advisory experience making client ready for third party assurance and manage their ESG issues as per new regulatory requirements, rising stakeholder concerns and opportunities for sustainable development.

The person will play pivotal role in conducting capacity building workshops, collecting the data and assisting our Sustainability, ESG team in evaluating, monitoring, reporting and simultaneously ensuring the assurance readiness.

The person needs to understand the key sustainability / materiality issues of the businesses and provide strategic recommendations to our clients on climate control and ESG initiatives to develop a roadmap for ESG implementation, coordinating with the key stakeholders.

This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with 2-3 years of experience in sustainability, ESG reporting and related fields to grow their career in a dynamic and forward thinking organization.

Key Responsibilities:

ü Assist in conducting capacity building workshops, trainings on ESG metrics, gap analysis, data collection, policy development as per national, international guidelines and regulations.

ü Assist in calculating, verifying carbon footprint, water footprint, energy footprint and identifying probable opportunities for reducing the environmental impact, report social impact, LCA (Life cycle assessment) studies , ESG due diligence etc.

ü Aggregate findings and recommendations into reports, presentations, dash boards and contribute to formulating and distilling deep insightful takeaways for the clients.

ü Handhold clients in identifying materiality areas and develop a sustainability roadmap to achieve long-term goals towards net zero, water positivity.

ü Collect data, case studies and statements, prepare sustainability report, integrated report for the client as per national , global guidelines and make them ready for the external assurance.

ü Support business development efforts by identifying potential clients, preparing proposals and participating in client presentation.

Educational Qualification and Skills Required:

·      2 to 3 Years of experience in similar activities is a must

·      Graduate with professional qualification in Sustainability, ESG, EHS

·      Knowledge of Sustainability frameworks like BRSR, GRI, SASB and ISO14001.

·      Knowledge of greenhouse gas accounting, scope1,2,3 Inventory.

·      Strong project management skills including the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.

·      Excellence communication and presentation skills with ability to convey complex concepts to diverse stakeholders.

·      Passion for sustainability and environmental responsibility and readiness contribute to make the difference in the society.
