Job Description

The Structural Engineer is responsible for the design, analysis, and evaluation of building and infrastructure structures to ensure their safety, strength, and durability. The role involves working closely with architects, civil engineers, and construction teams to create efficient structural systems that meet project requirements, comply with regulations, and align with budget and time constraints.

Key ResponsibilitiesStructural Design & Analysis:

  • Perform structural analysis and design for buildings, foundations, and infrastructure using concrete, steel, timber, and other materials.
  • Develop structural plans, drawings, and specifications using CAD/BIM software.
  • Evaluate load requirements, stress analysis, and safety factors to ensure code compliance and performance standards.
  • Review and interpret architectural and engineering drawings and incorporate structural requirements.
  • Collaborate with design teams to propose structural systems aligned with architectural intent and site conditions.

Project Execution & Coordination:

  • Provide technical guidance and solutions throughout the project lifecycle, from concept to construction.
  • Coordinate with architects, MEP engineers, contractors, and clients to ensure proper integration of structural components.
  • Conduct site inspections and structural assessments to verify construction adherence to designs and codes.
  • Resolve design and construction issues by providing timely engineering solutions.
  • Prepare and review structural reports, calculations, and compliance documentation.

Regulatory Compliance & Quality Assurance:

  • Ensure designs comply with local building codes, international standards, and relevant safety regulations (e.g., IS codes, Eurocodes, ACI, etc.).
  • Conduct quality checks of drawings, calculations, and construction activities.
  • Support the submission of designs to relevant authorities for approvals and permits.
  • Maintain documentation for audit, review, and certification purposes.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
  • Experience: 3–7 years of experience in structural design and engineering, preferably in residential, commercial, or industrial projects.
  • Technical Proficiency:
  • Design and analysis software: ETABS, STAAD.Pro, SAFE, SAP2000, Robot, or similar.
  • Drafting tools: AutoCAD, Revit, Tekla Structures (preferred).
  • Microsoft Office for reporting and documentation.
  • In-depth knowledge of structural codes and standards.
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and site requirements.
  • Excellent analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities.

Desirable Attributes

  • Professional licensure or certification (e.g., PE, SE, or equivalent) is a plus.
  • Experience with high-rise or large-scale infrastructure projects.
  • Familiarity with earthquake-resistant and wind-load design principles.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to safety and quality.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
