Solar Engineer

Job Title: Solar Executive – Mid-Level Location: Motera, Ahmedabad Experience Required: 4–5 years in Solar Project Development & Execution Employment Type: Full-Time Job Summary: We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Solar Executive to oversee critical aspects of solar power project development, particularly focusing on land acquisition, licensing, geolocation analysis, and coordination with GETCO (Gujarat Energy Transmission Corporation Limited) for grid connectivity. The ideal candidate will bring deep knowledge of state regulations, technical assessment, and project management to support large-scale solar energy initiatives. Key Responsibilities: 1. Project Planning & Site Selection Lead preliminary site identification and feasibility assessment based on solar irradiance, topography, and infrastructure availability. Analyze land records, conduct physical site visits, and prepare comparative land reports. 2. Land Acquisition & Due Diligence Coordinate with land aggregators, brokers, and legal teams to secure land for solar projects. Verify land titles, encumbrances, and compliance with zoning and land-use regulations. Assist in MoU/Agreement negotiations with landowners. 3. Licensing & Regulatory Approvals Manage all regulatory processes including applications for CEIG, GEDA registration, RLDC/NLDC approvals, and connectivity with DISCOMs. Maintain trackers for all permissions, renewals, and compliance timelines. 4. GETCO Coordination Prepare and submit documents for grid connectivity approvals, including load flow studies and technical feasibility with GETCO. Liaise with GETCO and SLDC for bay allocation, metering, and synchronization processes. Supervise right-of-way (ROW) and transmission line coordination with local authorities. 5. Geolocation & Technical Evaluation Conduct site analysis using geolocation tools like Google Earth, PVsyst, Helioscope, etc. Provide support to design and engineering teams for preparing layouts and optimizing capacity utilization. 6. Cross-Functional Coordination Work closely with engineering, legal, procurement, and business development teams to ensure project readiness. Act as a key point of contact for on-ground project execution and ensure alignment with timelines and quality standards. Key Skills & Competencies: Deep understanding of Gujarat’s regulatory environment for solar energy. Hands-on experience with land identification and acquisition processes. Strong working knowledge of GETCO and SLDC procedures. Proficiency in tools such as Google Earth, PVsyst, MS Excel, AutoCAD (basic), etc. Excellent communication, documentation, and negotiation skills. Willingness to travel frequently to project sites and government offices. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Civil, Renewable Energy, or related engineering field. 4–5 years of relevant experience in solar energy project development. Prior experience in large-scale ground-mounted solar projects (preferred). Job Type: Permanent Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹75,000.00 per month Schedule: Day shift Work Location: In person
