About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Business Development Officer (BDO) to join our growing team. The BDO will play a crucial role in driving the growth of our company by identifying and converting business opportunities for Tableau license sales and BI services. This position requires building strong relationships with CXOs and decision-makers, ensuring seamless sales operations, and facilitating client onboarding. If you are a self-starter with a passion for sales and a track record of success in the B2B tech/BI/SaaS space, we encourage you to apply.Key Responsibilities:✓Drive end-to-end sales processes for Tableau licenses and Business Intelligence (BI) services.✓Identify and prospect potential customers through various channels, including cold calls, email campaigns, industry events, and networking.✓Meet and engage with CXOs and other key decision-makers to present our solutions effectively.✓Understand client requirements thoroughly and accurately map them to suitable BI solutions.✓Maintain and nurture strong, long-term relationships with both prospective and existing clients.✓Conduct compelling product demonstrations, deliver impactful pitch presentations, and perform consistent follow-ups to advance sales opportunities.✓Negotiate pricing, prepare comprehensive proposals, and effectively close deals.✓Assist in the preparation of quotations, proposals, and essential sales documentation.✓Raise and process purchase orders (POs), invoices, and related paperwork efficiently.✓Maintain an accurate sales pipeline and update CRM systems with timely and precise status reports.✓Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time to meet prospective clients and attend industry events.Skills & Qualifications:• Communication: Confident, clear, and persuasive communication abilities, particularly when interacting with CXOs and senior stakeholders.•Adaptability: Ability to stay composed under pressure and adapt effectively to changing client or market needs.•Relationship Building: Proven ability to build and nurture strong, long-term relationships with clients and partners.•Drive: Self-motivated and target-driven with a strong desire to achieve and exceed sales goals.•Negotiation: Strong negotiation and closing abilities.•Collaboration: A collaborative team player with keen attention to detail.•Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, IT, or a related field. An MBA is preferred.•Language Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.•Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with CXOs and senior stakeholders.•Technical Familiarity: Familiarity with Tableau, BI tools, or data-driven solution selling is an added advantage.•Sales Operations Knowledge: Experience in sales operations, including quotation preparation and PO processing, is preferred.•Software Proficiency: Proficiency in MS Office Suite, CRM tools, and presentation software.Experience:✓ 1–10 years of experience in B2B sales, preferably within the technology, Business Intelligence (BI), or Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) sectors.✓ Prior experience in software sales or ERP sales is a must.
