Software Development Engineer In Test (SDET)

Job Title: SDET – Automation Testing Experience: 4–8 Years Employment Type: Full-Time Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced SDET (Software Development Engineer in Test) with hands-on experience in Java, Selenium, and API automation. The candidate should have strong test engineering expertise and be capable of creating robust and scalable test automation frameworks in an Agile environment. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain automation scripts/suites using Java, Selenium, and TestNG for both UI and API layers. Create, manage, and review test plans, test cases, and test data aligned with business and technical requirements. Participate actively in all Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives. Ensure high-quality deliverables through thorough test engineering practices and execution of both manual and automated tests. Collaborate with developers, QA, and product teams to integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipelines. Analyze test results, identify root causes, and contribute to debugging efforts. Maintain detailed documentation related to test coverage, defects, and reports. Required Skills: Strong hands-on experience in Java programming. Proficiency in Selenium WebDriver and TestNG framework. Solid understanding and experience in REST API automation. Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Preferred/Good to Have: Experience with Karate Framework for API automation. Familiarity with tools such as Jenkins, Git, Maven, or Gradle. Exposure to BDD/TDD practices. Experience with logging and reporting tools like Allure, ExtentReports, etc. Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline.
