Software Development Engineer In Test (SDET)

Job Title: SDET – Automation Testing Experience: 4–8 Years Employment Type: Full-Time Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled SDET (Software Development Engineer in Test) with strong expertise in Java, Selenium, and API automation. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining robust automation frameworks and driving high-quality deliverables in an Agile environment. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain automation scripts and test frameworks for UI and API testing. Collaborate with QA and development teams to define test strategies and ensure test coverage and quality standards. Execute and manage test plans, test cases, and test data aligned with business requirements. Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline to ensure quick feedback and continuous testing. Participate in Agile ceremonies, providing inputs for sprint planning, grooming, and retrospectives. Identify and report defects with detailed logs and steps for reproduction. Provide metrics and reporting on test execution and coverage. Mandatory Skills: Strong programming skills in Java. Hands-on experience in Selenium WebDriver and TestNG for test automation. Proven expertise in REST API automation. Solid understanding of test engineering principles and best practices. Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies. Good to Have: Experience with Karate Framework for API testing. Familiarity with tools like Jenkins, Git, Maven, or Gradle. Experience working with BDD/TDD practices. Exposure to performance or security testing is a plus. Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
