Job Description As a Software Developer 3, you will own the software design and development for major components of Oracle's Cloud Infrastructure. You should be both a rock-solid coder and a distributed systems generalist, able to dive deep into any part of the stack and low-level systems and design broad distributed system interactions. Career Level - IC3 Responsibilities Minimum Qualification Bachelors degree in Computer Science, or equivalent experience. 4+ years of experience shipping services software. Excellent knowledge of Java, object oriented fundamentals or experience with scripting languages such as Python. Experience designing and driving technical solutions and mentoring engineers. Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, operating systems, and distributed systems fundamentals. Working familiarity with networking protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP) and standard network architectures Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience with operating and building cloud services would be a big plus. A strong understanding of container and container orchestration technologies like kubernetes. Strong working experience of Linux/unix operating systems. A strong working experience in distributed streaming platform like kafka would be great. Experience building multi-tenant, virtualized infrastructure a strong plus.
