As a part of our digital team, you will be the voice of www.edexlive.com across platforms, engaging with our audience, sharing the latest and crafting compelling content that resonates with young readers, students, educators, and youth-focused communities.


Key Responsibilities:


Content Strategy & Management:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive social media strategy aligned with the editorial goals.
  • Curate, create, and schedule engaging content across all social media platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube.
  • Collaborate with the editorial team to repurpose and promote news articles, opinion pieces, interviews, features, and multimedia content relevant to education, careers, campuses, and youth affairs.


Audience Engagement:

  • Monitor social media channels for trending topics, breaking news, and reader engagement.
  • Respond to comments, messages, and mentions in a timely and professional manner.
  • Foster a community around

    Edex’s

    social media presence, encouraging reader interaction, participation in polls, discussions, and feedback.


Analytics & Reporting:

  • Track and analyze key social media metrics, including engagement rates, follower growth, and traffic to the website.
  • Prepare regular reports on social media performance and provide actionable insights to the editorial team.
  • Use data-driven approaches to optimize content and posting strategies.


Brand Voice & Compliance:

  • Maintain a consistent brand voice across all social media platforms.
  • Ensure all content is in compliance with journalistic standards and ethical guidelines.
  • Stay updated on the latest social media policies and platform changes.


Collaboration & Innovation:

  • Work closely with the design and video teams to produce high-quality visuals and multimedia content for social media.
  • Explore and implement new tools and technologies to enhance

    Edex’s

    social media presence.
  • Lead social media campaigns around special events, education-focused features, youth initiatives, interviews, or student-led innovations.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in social media management, preferably within the news/media or education industry.
  • Strong writing and editing skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Proficiency in social media management tools like Hootsuite, Buffer, or Sprout Social.
  • Knowledge of SEO best practices and web traffic metrics.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Facebook Insights, Twitter Analytics, etc.
  • Creative thinking with a strong sense of newsworthiness and timing.


Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in digital journalism and content creation.
  • Video editing and graphic design skills.
  • Understanding of India’s media and educational landscape, and youth audience preferences.
  • Proficiency in English; knowledge of other Indian languages is a plus.
  • Strong writing and communication skills.
  • Experience in social media management (experience in an educational platform is a plus).
  • Creativity and an eye for detail.
