Senior Test Engineer

Job Title: Senior Test Engineer

Location: Thanjavur/Chennai

Reports To: Technical Lead

Key Responsibilities:

1. Design, develop, and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on project requirements.

2. Perform manual and automated testing to identify bugs, issues, and inconsistencies.

3. Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and improve testing processes.

4. Conduct functional, regression, performance, and usability testing.

5. Track, document, and report defects clearly and accurately.

6. Prioritize testing tasks and manage multiple testing projects simultaneously.

7. Review and analyze requirements, specifications, and technical documents.

8. Mentor and guide junior testers to improve testing quality and efficiency.

9. Maintain and enhance test automation frameworks and tools.

10. Ensure adherence to quality standards and best practices throughout the development lifecycle.

Qualifications & Skills:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

2. 4+ years of experience in software testing, with at least 2 years in a senior or lead role.

3. Strong knowledge of manual testing methodologies and automation tools (e.g., Selenium, QTP, TestNG, JUnit).

4. Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Java, or JavaScript.

5. Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development processes.

6. Good understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and testing life cycle.

7. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

8. Strong communication and collaboration abilities.

9. Experience with API testing, database testing, and performance testing is a plus.

10. Basic understanding of version control systems (e.g., Git).

11. Familiarity with bug tracking systems (e.g., JIRA).

12. Understanding of performance and security testing.

13. Interest in AI-driven tools and contract management solutions.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹941,698.87 - ₹2,096,074.18 per year
