About this Job

As a Senior Sales Specialist, you are responsible for driving commercial growth by expanding existing client partnerships and acquiring new business opportunities. Focused on selling NIQ’s specialized solutions, you act as a trusted advisor, identifying how our offerings can solve critical business challenges.
This role combines both ‘hunter’ and ‘farmer’ mindsets: you proactively develop white-space accounts while nurturing and growing small to mid-tier existing clients. You bring strong business acumen, a collaborative spirit, and a bias for action to every stage of the sales process—from lead generation to deal closure and long-term client success.

Responsibilities

New Business Development

  • Identify, qualify, and close new business opportunities in assigned verticals or whitespace accounts
  • Actively build pipeline through targeted prospecting and industry outreach
  • Craft tailored proposals showcasing the value of NIQ's specialized solutions
  • Convert leads into long-term clients through consultative, insight-led engagement

Existing Client Growth

  • Manage and grow a portfolio of small to mid-tier existing accounts
  • Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities based on evolving client needs
  • Conduct regular business reviews to reinforce value delivery and expand client partnerships

Client Engagement & Influence

  • Engage decision-makers with insight, credibility, and commercial logic
  • Influence client strategy through value storytelling and needs-based selling
  • Build trust-based relationships that lead to recurring revenue and advocacy

Internal Collaboration & Sales Excellence

  • Maintain CRM discipline, forecast accurately, and follow through on sales hygiene
  • Collaborate with Client Service, Delivery, and Product teams to ensure solution relevance and successful handover
  • Share market insights and feedback to improve go-to-market strategies and drive win rates

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 5+ years of commercial experience, including 3+ years in Business Development or consultative sales in data, analytics, SaaS, or FMCG preferred
  • Demonstrated success in new business development, including prospecting, pipeline generation, and closing net-new clients in complex B2B environments
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Salesforce or similar CRM tools
