Job Summary:

GIS Analyst

Key Responsibilities:

• Process aerial drone imagery to generate high-resolution

  orthomosaics

  ,

  point clouds

  , and

  3D models

  .
• Perform

  volumetric analysis

  for stockpile management, earthworks, and cut/fill calculations.
• Generate and validate

  DGPS points

  , align drone data with ground control points for accurate georeferencing.
• Track

  project progress

  over time using drone-based comparative analysis.
• Identify and mark

  encroachments

  on land parcels or infrastructure zones using temporal data.
• Develop

  3D visualizations and terrain models

  for topographical understanding and reporting.
• Integrate and analyze data in

  ArcGIS, QGIS, Pix4D Cloud, and DroneDeploy

  platforms.
• Collaborate with project teams to generate actionable insights and decision-making maps.
• Create customized GIS dashboards and visual reports using tools like

  ArcGIS Online

  ,

  QGIS plugins

  , and

  web-based viewers

  .
• Ensure data accuracy, coordinate systems alignment, and metadata documentation.
• Maintain GIS databases and support spatial data analytics for planning and regulatory submissions.

Technical Skills Required:

• Drone Imagery Platforms

• GIS Software

  : ArcGIS Pro, QGIS, ArcGIS Online, Global Mapper

• Data Analysis

  : Volumetric calculations, change detection, and spatial analysis

• Mapping & Visualization

  : Orthomosaics, digital surface/terrain models, 3D reconstruction

• Survey Data Handling

  : DGPS/RTK point integration and alignment

• File Formats

  : GeoTIFF, LAS/LAZ, SHP, KML/KMZ, DXF

• Basic Scripting

  : (Preferred) Python/SQL for GIS automation

Desired Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in

  Geoinformatics, Remote Sensing, Civil Engineering, Geography

  , or a related field.
• Certification in GIS tools or drone mapping is a plus.
• Field experience in drone mapping and GPS/DGPS surveying will be an added advantage.
