Brief about the Team :

The Backend Engineering team at Tata 1mg is a skilled and dedicated group responsible for developing and maintaining the robust infrastructure that powers the company's platform. With expertise in backend technologies, they seamlessly integrate systems, databases, and APIs to improve and help in users' healthcare journey. Their focus on security and reliability ensures high performance and data protection.

This role is available for the B2B vertical of Tata 1mg, which focuses on being the default healthcare partner for various organisations in India. An engineering leader’s key responsibility in this charter would be to build scalable and modular B2B SaaS solutions leveraging the core technology stack that powers the rest of our business.

What will you do:

• Lead and mentor a team of software engineers to deliver high-quality, scalable, and reliable software solutions.
• Drive the development and execution of engineering initiatives aligned with Tata 1mg’s strategic objectives.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to define product requirements, prioritize features, and ensure timely delivery.
• Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the engineering organization.
• Champion best practices in software development, quality assurance, and project management to drive operational excellence.
• Actively participate in code reviews for features shipped within your team.
• Serve as a technical advisor to senior leadership, providing insights and recommendations on technology investments and initiatives.

What are we looking for:

• 7+ years of experience in software engineering with 2+ years of engineering management experience.
• Someone who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and is comfortable navigating ambiguity and driving change.
• Lead a team of 10+ engineers across varying experience levels, providing mentorship, technical guidance, and performance oversight
• Experience as a founder or founding member in a startup is highly preferred.
• Expertise in Python, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and AWS is highly desirable.
• Experience in leveraging GenAI technologies to improve efficiency is beneficial.
