Role Overview

Software Engineer (Data Engineer)

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and manage scalable data pipelines and workflows on Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Design and implement ETL processes using Python, BigQuery, and Terraform
• Support data product lifecycle from concept, development to deployment and DevOps
• Optimize query performance and manage large datasets with efficiency
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver solutions
• Maintain strong adherence to Agile practices, contributing to sprint planning and user stories
• Apply best practices in data security, quality, and governance
• Effectively communicate technical solutions to stakeholders and team members
  

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in GCP Data Engineering
• Strong hands-on experience with BigQuery, Python programming, Terraform, Cloud Run, and GitHub
• Proven expertise in SQL, data modeling, and performance optimization
• Solid understanding of cloud data warehousing and pipeline orchestration (e.g., DBT, Dataflow, Composer, or Airflow DAGs)
• Background in ETL workflows and data processing logic
• Familiarity with Agile (Scrum) methodology and collaboration tools
  

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Java, Spring Boot, and RESTful APIs
• Exposure to infrastructure automation and CI/CD pipelines
  

Educational Qualification

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field
