R&D Engineer – Validation

Your role and responsibilities :
In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute to ABB’s success with technology, software, product, and system development. You will also showcase your expertise by providing ideas and by being able to work both independently and as a part of a Research & Development (R&D) team. The work model for the role is: #LI-Onsite This role is contributing to the Electrification Business Area for the Smart Buildings Division based in Hyderabad.

The ideal candidate plays a crucial role in ensuring cloud-based systems function reliably, securely, and efficiently.

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Validate cloud-based applications and full-stack solutions for performance, security, and scalability.
• Conduct Computer System Validation (CSV) to ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Develop and execute test cases for front-end (React, Angular, Vue.js) and back-end (Node.js, Python, Java) components.
• Perform API testing for RESTful and GraphQL services. Ensure database integrity and performance for SQL (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Firebase) solutions.
• Collaborate with development teams to optimize CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment.
• Monitor cloud infrastructure using tools like AWS CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, or Google Cloud Operations Suite.
• Exposure to Serial communication protocols (IRDA, RS232 etc.) / Field-bus architectures (Profibus, Modbus, CANbus, etc.)
• Strong expertise in test automation tools such as Testend, Google test and Selenium

Qualifications for the role :

• B. Tech/M. Tech in CSE/ECE/EE from reputed institutes with 5+ years of hands-on experience in Software validation.
• Proven experience in cloud validation and full-stack development testing. Proficiency in front-end and back-end technologies.
• Strong knowledge of Computer System Validation (CSV) methodologies.
• Hands-on experience in validation of cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
• Understanding of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies and Git
