Position Summary

The Project Planner / Reliability Engineer will be responsible for planning, scheduling, and coordinating projects while ensuring the reliability and performance of assets through data-driven strategies. This dual-role professional will bridge the gap between project execution and equipment reliability, enabling efficient resource utilization and sustainable operations.

Key Responsibilities

Project Planning:

  • Govern capital and non-capital project execution in alignment with PMO standards.
  • Track project timelines, budgets, and deliverables using project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely approvals (e.g., change controls, validations, procurement).
  • Monitor risk registers, mitigation plans, and change requests for engineering and reliability projects.
  • Ensure documentation and reporting for project stage gates, KPIs, and compliance requirements.
  • Develop a comprehensive project plan, track the progress of this plan, and effectively communicate the plan with employees and clients.

Reliability Engineering

  • Develop, implement, and sustain reliability strategies for critical assets and utilities.
  • Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), and Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM) to improve equipment uptime.
  • Analyse asset performance data to identify trends, chronic issues, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Collaborate with Maintenance, Engineering, and Operations teams to develop and optimize preventive and predictive maintenance strategies.
  • Support deployment of condition monitoring tools (e.g., vibration analysis, thermography, oil analysis) and IoT-based predictive maintenance.
  • Lead criticality assessments and maintain the site equipment hierarchy and asset master data.
  • Maintain 100% adherence to PM schedules by monitoring performance through KPIs.
  • Drive improvements in CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) usage and data integrity.
  • Track & enhance PM compliance, work order completion rates & backlog metrics.
  • Support continuous improvement in maintenance planning, scheduling, and execution.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • 1 to 2 years of experience in project planning, maintenance, or reliability engineering.
  • Proficiency in planning software (MS Project, Primavera P6, or equivalent).
  • Experience with CMMS systems (e.g., SAP PM, Maximo).
  • Knowledge of reliability methodologies (RCM, FMEA, RCA).
  • Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
