Siemens Technomatics Plant Simulation (2D), SimTalk programming, Process flow analysis, Capacity & bottleneck analysis, Material handling simulation (AGVs, Tuggers, Conveyors), AutoCAD (basic proficiency), Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering principles, Data interpretation & reporting, Continuous improvement mindset
Conceptualize and develop 2D simulation models for manufacturing systems using Siemens Plant Simulation.
Conduct capacity analysis, identify bottlenecks, and propose logistics and layout optimizations.
Evaluate simulation outcomes to improve process flow, resource allocation, and equipment utilization.
Simulate various transportation systems like AGVs, Fork Trucks, Tuggers, and Conveyors to identify optimal configurations.
Develop models to study material handling efficiency and congestion points within facilities.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather inputs, validate assumptions, and implement changes.
Document all methodologies, assumptions, results, and lessons learned in structured reports.
Gather feedback from stakeholders and adapt simulation strategies to improve effectiveness.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
Minimum 3 years of experience building 2D simulation models with Siemens Technomatics Plant Simulation or similar software.
Hands-on experience in manufacturing/industrial engineering environments.
Proficient in SimTalk or similar simulation-specific programming languages.
Basic experience with AutoCAD for layout interpretation.
Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles is a plus.
