Lead Internal Auditor

Purpose Of the Job:

Assist Internal Audit function in accomplishing its mission and objectives by performing assignments relating to the evaluation of the design and the operating effectiveness of IT General and Applications Controls, in addition to resolving audit fieldwork issues and conflicts, supporting continuous improvement, actively maintaining and developing IT audit and soft skills, and completing administrative tasks as required.

Description:

• Develop in coordination with the (IT) Audit GM (or Manager) the audit assignments scope and allocation of fieldwork tasks
• Audit IT application controls (ITAC), IT general controls (ITGC), IT Operations, Infrastructure/Systems Security
• Audit cloud (Microsoft 365, Azure, etc.), ERP/Applications Implementations/Migrations (Post Implementation Reviews)
• Understand current process(es) and controls, and design process flow(s) (when required). Identify risks related to respective processes
• Develop/update audit fieldwork programs and perform test of controls. Monitor audit time to adhere to budget
• Document audit work, results, and retain evidence(s) collected
• Hold audit fieldwork meetings with the auditee(s) including opening and exit meetings
• Regularly (daily or as-needed) discuss audit progress with the IT Audit GM (or Manager). Timely escalate any issues to the IT Audit GM (or Manager)
• Deliver constructive message and avoid any "surprise" (i.e., conflicting discussion) during the exit meeting
• Obtain auditees' commitment on action plans to mitigate the risks identified
• Draft audit observations. Prepare audit reports with clear recommendations
• Track and validate the remediation of audit findings. Document audit follow up assignments.
• Contribute to the periodic risk-based IT audit plan preparation/update
• Actively maintain and develop auditing or other (soft) skills through active participation in internal meetings and/or training, based on feedbacks
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of emerging IT and cyber risks
• Participate in the development and implementation of IT Internal Audit/Assurance improvement projects as necessary
• Support internal control awareness and policy enhancements
• Assist in fraud detection through log analysis and data analytics
• Complete administrative tasks (e.g., T&E submission, evaluations and/or key learning documents) as per requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

• 6-8 years of experience required in IT auditing. Including at least 2-3 years of experience in a

  BIG4 (mandatory)

• Understanding of the Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing and the Code of Ethics developed by the Institute of Internal Auditors, and knowledge of industry program policies, procedures, regulation and laws.

Job-Specific Skills:

• Knowledgeable in main ERP and applications such as Oracle, MS Dynamics, etc.
• Knowledgeable in other non-standard applications in terms of design, operating mechanisms to ensure compliance with standards and regulations
• Knowledgeable in auditing various infrastructure and network related technologies including architecture, design and security configurations
• Understanding of ERP/software implementation project (auditing or project experience)

Language:

• English (Mandatory), Turkish/Arabic/French (Not mandatory, but a plus)

Special Certification or Membership:

• Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA)
