Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced HVAC Site Supervisor/Engineer to oversee and coordinate the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of HVAC systems at our project sites. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in HVAC systems, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to ensure timely project execution in compliance with design specifications, safety regulations, and quality standards.


As an HVAC Site Supervisor/Engineer, you will be responsible for supervising site activities, managing site teams and subcontractors, conducting technical reviews, and ensuring that HVAC systems are installed and maintained to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Site Supervision & Execution:

  • Supervise and coordinate all HVAC site activities including installation, commissioning, testing, and maintenance of HVAC systems.
  • Ensure execution of work according to approved drawings, technical specifications, and project timelines.
  • Monitor daily site progress and report deviations or delays to project management.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and ensure adherence to safety protocols and quality standards.


Project Planning & Coordination:

  • Collaborate with project managers, design teams, and contractors to understand project scope and execution plan.
  • Prepare and manage work schedules, manpower planning, and resource allocation for efficient site operations.
  • Coordinate with other trades (electrical, plumbing, civil) to resolve site issues and avoid clashes.


Technical & Engineering Support:

  • Review HVAC drawings (ducting, piping, insulation, etc.), material submittals, and shop drawings.
  • Verify that the correct equipment and materials are delivered and installed as per design specifications.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues on-site and provide immediate solutions to minimize downtime.
  • Ensure compliance with local codes, engineering standards, and client requirements.


Documentation & Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate site records including work progress reports, labor deployment, material consumption, and inspection logs.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly site progress reports for management review.
  • Support in preparation of as-built drawings, O&M manuals, and project handover documentation.


Team Management:

  • Lead and manage a team of HVAC technicians, helpers, and subcontractors to ensure productivity and quality.
  • Provide guidance, training, and mentoring to junior site staff and technicians.
  • Ensure proper use of tools, safety equipment, and materials at the site.


Quality & Safety Assurance:

  • Conduct quality checks on completed installations and ensure proper testing and commissioning.
  • Enforce adherence to safety practices and procedures to prevent site accidents.
  • Coordinate with safety officers to conduct toolbox talks and implement corrective actions where needed.


Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum 0.5-2 years of hands-on experience in HVAC project supervision or engineering.
  • Proven knowledge of HVAC systems including AHUs, ductwork, VRV/VRF systems, ventilation, and controls.
  • Experience working on residential, commercial, or industrial HVAC projects.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and construction documents.
  • Familiarity with relevant codes (ASHRAE, SMACNA, ISHRAE) and safety standards.


Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and basic AutoCAD for drawing reviews.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
  • Time management and organizational skills.


Preferred Qualifications (Optional):

  • Certification in HVAC Design, MEP Coordination, or Project Management.
  • Experience with BMS (Building Management Systems) and HVAC automation systems.
  • Familiarity with energy-efficient HVAC practices and green building concepts.


Work Conditions:

  • The role requires full-time presence at construction or project sites.
  • May involve extended hours and working on weekends or holidays during project deadlines.
  • Must be physically fit to move around large sites and inspect elevated areas.
