Job Description

Role Summary:

The HR Officer at Rising Sun is responsible for fostering a supportive and high-performing work environment by managing recruitment, onboarding, training, employee engagement, compliance, and performance systems — all aligned with the therapeutic and ethical standards of our child development centre.

Key Responsibilities:1. Recruitment & Staffing

  • Manage full-cycle recruitment: job posting, shortlisting, interviews, offer letters.
  • Maintain a pool of potential therapists and interns for future requirements.
  • Coordinate with clinical heads for hiring based on therapy needs.

2. Onboarding & Orientation

  • Conduct structured onboarding programs.
  • Ensure new hires are introduced to the Centre's mission, policies, team, and therapeutic philosophy.

3. Employee Records & Compliance

  • Maintain up-to-date employee files (digital & physical).
  • Track leave records, documentation, contracts, ID proofs, certifications, and renewals.
  • Ensure compliance with labour laws, PF, ESI, and other HR regulations.

4. Attendance & Payroll Support

  • Coordinate attendance reports with Admin.
  • Collaborate with accounts to process accurate payroll each month.

5. Performance Management

  • Implement structured performance evaluation systems for therapists, admins, and other staff.
  • Organize biannual reviews with feedback from clinical and operational heads.
  • Maintain confidential employee performance records.

6. Training & Development

  • Organize periodic internal and external training programs.
  • Track learning goals and professional growth of therapists.

7. Employee Engagement & Culture

  • Plan initiatives to build positive, child-friendly, collaborative work culture.
  • Conduct monthly one-on-ones to check in on team morale.
  • Celebrate birthdays, milestones, and festivals meaningfully.

8. Conflict Resolution & Grievance Handling

  • Act as the first point of contact for employee concerns or complaints.
  • Ensure a safe and respectful space for all employees.
  • Escalate sensitive issues to the Director with discretion.

9. Policy Implementation

  • Ensure smooth implementation of company policies.
  • Draft HR SOPs and revise them periodically in collaboration with the leadership team.

10. Exit Formalities

  • Conduct exit interviews to gain feedback.
  • Handle resignations, handovers, clearances, and full-and-final settlements professionally.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Human Resource Management or related field.
  • Minimum 2–4 years of HR experience; healthcare or educational sector experience preferred.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and documentation skills.
  • Empathy, patience, and ability to work with therapy professionals and sensitive environments.
  • Proficient in MS Office, Google Workspace, and basic HRMS tools.
