We are seeking an experienced Go Tech Lead with 8–10 years of professional experience in software engineering, including significant hands-on expertise with the Go programming language. As the Go Tech Lead, you will be responsible for guiding a team of developers, driving technical excellence, and ensuring the successful delivery of scalable, high-quality software solutions. This role combines strong technical skills with leadership, mentoring, and project management responsibilities

Role Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of Go developers, providing technical guidance, feedback, and support throughout the software development lifecycle
• Architect, design, and implement scalable, maintainable, and efficient backend systems using Go, ensuring alignment with business and technical requirements
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, QA engineers, and other stakeholders to define project requirements and deliver high-quality software products.
• Establish and enforce coding standards, best practices, and quality assurance processes within the team
• Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure code quality, maintainability, and adherence to best practices
• Identify and resolve technical issues, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement in both codebase and team processes
• Oversee project planning, estimation, and delivery, ensuring projects are completed on time and within scope
• Recruit, onboard, and train new team members as required

Skills and requirements

• 8–10 years of professional software engineering experience, with at least 3–5 years in Go development
• Proven experience leading and mentoring software development teams.
• Strong knowledge of Go templating, common frameworks, and tools
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and CI/CD pipelines
• Solid understanding of RESTful API design, microservices architecture, and distributed systems
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and agile development methodologies
• Familiarity with other backend languages (e.g., Java, Python) is a plus
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Agile methodologies
• Exposure to event-driven architectures (Kafka)
• Experience working in distributed team environments
