Job Description

Finance Operations Specialist

Key Responsibilities

Cloud Financial Management & Analysis
  • Analyze complex Azure billing data and usage patterns across business units and cost centers.
  • Build detailed cost models, forecasts, and variance analyses to support financial planning and budgeting processes.
  • Track actual vs. forecast cloud spend and proactively flag deviations with root-cause analysis.
Cost Optimization Strategy
  • Lead Azure cost optimization efforts: right-sizing, reserved instances, auto-scaling, savings plans, and license management.
  • Develop and maintain enterprise tagging and chargeback frameworks to ensure cost attribution accuracy.
  • Collaborate with Cloud Engineering and DevOps to design and enforce cost-efficient architectural standards.
Governance & Compliance
  • Ensure adherence to internal policies around cloud spend, budgeting, and tagging standards.
  • Support internal audits and compliance efforts related to cloud financials.
Reporting & Stakeholder Engagement
  • Create and maintain executive dashboards using Power BI, Azure Cost Management, or third-party FinOps tools.
  • Conduct monthly cost review meetings with senior stakeholders and provide clear, actionable recommendations.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to department heads and procurement teams on Azure pricing structures and consumption trends

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in Finance, FP&A, or FinOps roles within an enterprise or large-scale cloud environment.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience managing 

    Azure cost optimization

     and usage analytics.
  • Strong proficiency in 

    Azure Cost Management

    , Power BI, Excel, and at least one FinOps platform (e.g., CloudHealth, Apptio, Cloudability).
  • Deep understanding of cloud financial constructs: consumption-based pricing, RI/SP, licensing, tagging, and chargebacks.
  • Proven ability to partner with Engineering, Procurement, and Finance teams to drive joint accountability.
  • FinOps Certified Practitioner or equivalent preferred
