Engineering Manager

Key Responsibilities

• Technical Ownership:

  Remain hands-on with code—contributing to architecture, design, reviews, and debugging across the stack (Python backend, React/TypeScript frontend).

• Team Building:

  Partner with recruitment and leadership to hire and build a strong, high-performing engineering team.

• CI/CD and DevOps:

  Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines using

  GitHub Actions and Workflows

  to ensure reliable, efficient software delivery.

• Agile Practices:

  Define and manage

  Jira

  workflows and tickets; lead sprint planning, retrospectives, and backlog grooming.

• Design Leadership:

  Actively participate in and contribute to technical and product design discussions.

• Mentorship:

  Guide and coach developers on technical tasks, coding standards, and career development.

• Collaboration:

  Work closely with Product, Design, and other cross-functional teams to deliver features and enhancements to the SaaS platform.

Required Skills

• 10–15 years of total software development experience.
• 3–5 years of people management or tech lead experience.
• Proven track record as an individual contributor in a fast-paced, production SaaS environment.

• Tech Stack Expertise:

• Strong hands-on experience with

  Python

  for backend development.
• Proficiency in

  React

  and/or

  TypeScript

  for frontend development.
• Deep understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices, and cloud-native platforms.

• DevOps/Tooling:

• Practical experience with

  GitHub Actions

  , CI/CD pipelines, and containerization tools like Docker.
• Familiarity with observability tools, automated testing, and deployment strategies.

• Leadership:

• Able to lead by example—writing code, conducting code reviews, and setting engineering best practices.
• Experience defining engineering processes and growing high-performing teams from the ground up.

Nice to Have

• Exposure to multi-tenant SaaS platforms and scaling distributed systems.
• Experience working in a startup or early-stage team-building environment.
• Familiarity with platform engineering, developer tooling, or internal platforms.
