This is how we enable sustainable mobility and help to prevent accidents caused by human error.Your RoleThe Program Director (PD) role at Aptiv is responsible for overseeing major development programs, driving cross-functional and global development teams to success. This role serves as the primary management interface with the customer, fostering strong and long-lasting relationships through exceptional performance.We are looking for a PD for India Region who along with a team of program managers will own the successful execution and delivery to customer. Ownership of the high-level plan, meeting all milestones within timelines, with high quality and within budget are the primary responsibilities of this role.The job calls for excellent planning, tracking and communication skills and involves interfacing with cross functional teams including software, hardware, test, validation, manufacturing, purchase.We are looking for a person with a proven track record in delivering complex programs to Indian Car manufacturers.This is a highly visible role that provides an excellent opportunity to work in a fast-paced market to deliver state of the art solutions to forward looking customers.
- Oversee seamless execution of development programs with a focus on efficiency.
- Review plans, execution status and provide course corrections; Support as needed to ensure timely delivery
- Risk assessment and mitigation plans
- Work closely with engineering to drive an ambitious performance improvement strategy and cost-saving initiatives.
- Manage budgets, ensuring strict adherence to financial targets.
- Create review structures and ensure readiness for Gate reviews
- Constantly look for operations improvements across the cross functional teams
- Track and report key progress metrics, ensuring alignment with business goals.
- Take ownership of strategic initiatives, fostering innovation and continuous improvement.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships to support business growth.
- Develop and mentor talent, ensuring a robust pipeline of future leadership.
Your Background
Key ingredients for succeeding in this role are your:
- 15+ years of experience in automotive embedded electronics.
- Proven track record of delivering multi-functional programs on time
- Broad cross-functional expertise in product development.
- Strong leadership, team motivation, and communication skills.
- Highly organized, adaptable, and accountable.
- Deep understanding of human behavior, fostering a collaborative work culture.
