We are searching for a Customer-Facing DevOps Engineer who enjoys working with cutting-edge technologies and solving complex deployment challenges. This role requires expertise in Kubernetes and cloud computing, strong automation skills, and a customer-centric mindset. The ideal candidate thrives in dynamic environments, excels at troubleshooting, and is passionate about helping customers achieve success with DataRobot.Key Responsibilities:
- Deploy the DataRobot platform into customer-managed Kubernetes environments, including VPCs and true on-premises deployments, as long as they adhere to CNCF-compliant Kubernetes standards.
- Design and implement infrastructure automation using tools like Terraform to streamline deployments and ensure reliability.
- Collaborate directly with customers to address technical challenges, troubleshoot complex environments, and ensure seamless integration of the DataRobot platform.
- Handle escalated support cases from internal support teams, serving as a subject matter expert for customer deployments.
- Work closely with engineering and product teams to identify and resolve deployment-related issues.
- Create and maintain documentation and knowledge base articles to empower customers and internal teams.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of experience in customer-facing DevOps, systems engineering, or a related role.
- Deep hands-on experience with Kubernetes, including deploying and managing CNCF-compliant environments.
- Strong knowledge of cloud infrastructure providers (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and hybrid cloud deployments.
- Expertise in infrastructure automation tools like Terraform, Helm, and Ansible.
- Proficiency in Linux administration, enterprise networking, and containerization (Docker).
- Ability to monitor and troubleshoot Kubernetes-based applications, read system logs, and identify issues.
- Strong Python scripting skills for automation and debugging purposes.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with technical and non-technical audiences.
Nice to Have:
- Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) Will be required to achieve within first 6 months of employment
- Experience supporting AI, machine learning, or data science platforms.
- Knowledge of Mongo, Postgres, and Redis database management and optimization.
