We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Database Administrator (DBA) with 4–6 years of experience in managing and maintaining databases for high-performance applications. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in database installation, configuration, performance tuning, backup, recovery, and security. This role requires strong analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, and a proactive attitude to ensure database availability and performance.
Design, install, configure, and maintain relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MS SQL Server, or Oracle).
Monitor database performance and implement optimization techniques.
Ensure database security, integrity, and backup/recovery procedures.
Automate routine tasks using scripts and tools.
Collaborate with development teams for database design and query optimization.
Manage users, roles, and permissions.
Handle database migrations and upgrades.
Create and maintain documentation on database processes and configurations.
Troubleshoot database issues and provide on-call support as needed.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
4–6 years of hands-on experience in database administration.
Expertise in at least one major RDBMS: MySQL, PostgreSQL, MS SQL Server, or Oracle.
Experience with backup and recovery tools (e.g., RMAN, pg_dump, mysqldump).
Knowledge of database monitoring and performance tuning tools.
Experience with high-availability setups and replication.
Understanding of data modeling and schema design.
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS RDS, Azure SQL, or GCP) is a plus.
Strong scripting skills (Shell, Python, or PowerShell) preferred.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Experience with NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Redis, etc.).
Exposure to DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
Knowledge of regulatory standards (GDPR, HIPAA, etc.) related to data handling.
