About The Opportunity A fast-growing player in the Information Technology & Business Intelligence services sector, we design, deploy, and manage enterprise-scale analytics platforms built on IBM Cognos. Our teams enable large customers across finance, retail, and manufacturing to turn data into timely, trusted insights by delivering secure, high-availability reporting infrastructure. Role & Responsibilities Administer and maintain IBM Cognos servers, gateways, and dispatcher components for on-site environments. Configure, tune, and patch Cognos Analytics to achieve optimal uptime, performance, and security. Create and manage deployment archives, content stores, and migration packages across development, test, and production. Implement role-based security, single sign-on, and audit logging aligned with enterprise governance policies. Automate backup, recovery, and capacity monitoring using scripts and monitoring tools. Collaborate with report developers and DBAs to troubleshoot queries, scheduler jobs, and data source connectivity. Skills & Qualifications Must-Have 3+ years dedicated experience as a Cognos Administrator in on-premise setups. Deep knowledge of Cognos Analytics architecture, configuration files, and upgrade paths. Hands-on skills with Linux or Windows Server administration, shell or PowerShell scripting, and basic SQL. Proven track record implementing LDAP integration, SSL certificates, and security policies. Familiarity with performance tuning, JVM parameters, and diagnostic logging. Preferred Exposure to cloud lift-and-shift or containerisation of Cognos components. Knowledge of IBM Planning Analytics or other BI suites for cross-platform integration. Experience creating automation with Ansible or Jenkins for CI/CD of BI assets.
