Cad Engineer - Dimensional Management Engineer

Job Title: Dimensional Management EngineerWe are seeking a skilled Dimensional Management Engineer to define measurement systems and tolerance specifications for Body in White components and assemblies. You will play a crucial role in analyzing functional requirements and discussing and aligning tolerance concepts with stakeholders. Your expertise will be instrumental in performing tolerance stack-up studies in 1D, 2D, and 3D, executing tolerance simulations in 3DCS, and ensuring the quality and timeliness of project deliverables.

Responsibilities

• Define measurement system and tolerance specification for Body in White components and assembly.
• Analyze the functional requirements of Body in White.
• Discuss and align tolerance concepts with stakeholders.
• Perform tolerance stack-up studies in 1D, 2D, and 3D.
• Execute tolerance simulations in 3DCS.
• Ensure quality and timelines of every deliverable in projects.
• Create Gap & Flush plans and concepts.
• Engage in discussions with cross-functional teams to incorporate feedback.
• Create and align sub-module integration concepts.
• Create and align closure integration concepts.
• Validate tolerance concepts concerning vehicle-level requirements.
  

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in stack-up analysis and tolerance stack-ups.
• Experience with dimensional variation analysis.
• Working proficiency in NX.
• Good understanding of 3D tolerance simulation tools, preferably 3DCS.
• Deep understanding of GD&T principles.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes in Body in White.
• Familiarity with assembly operations in the automobile industry.
• Understanding of various measurement systems and inspection methods.
  

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Good team player with strong communication skills.
• Ability to work with agility across different architectures in a fast-paced environment.
