Back End Developer

We’re seeking a driven Senior Backend Engineer to join our team. This role is perfect for an engineer who thrives in chaos, ships confidently, and can own DevOps, backend infra, and AI-powered feature delivery like a pro.

You must be available to start in 1 to 2 weeks!

What You’ll Own:

• Architect, scale, and secure our platform on AWS (EC2, Lambda, RDS, etc.). Automate deployments, logging, monitoring, and backups.
• Optimize and expand our FastAPI backend and Next.js platform to support new workflows, smart inference, and user-triggered pipelines.
• Troubleshoot issues across AI APIs, improve prompt strategy, and guide the integration of ML models and data-driven components into the backend.
• Implement security best practices across APIs, databases, auth flows, and user data. Be the grown-up in the room when it comes to system design.
• Unblock the team. Ship high-impact features weekly. Handle what the full-stack lead can’t get to. Be the difference between “2 weeks” and “2 days.”

You’re a Fit If You:

• Have 7+ years of experience in backend/platform/devops roles, ideally within a startup or SaaS environment
• Are fluent in AWS, FastAPI, and CI/CD pipelines
• Have built and scaled APIs in production and know how to handle rate limits, timeouts, retries, and error handling
• Can debug and optimize AI-driven workflows, APIs, and prompt-based interfaces
• Understand data security, auth, encryption, and compliance
• Enjoy working with founders directly and thrive in high-ownership, low-structure environments
• Bonus: Experience with Hugging Face, Pandas, Supabase, Postgres, or building AI-first apps
