Job Description

Assistant Purchasing Manager

Job Location: Lower Parel, Mumbai

CTC upto: 5 LPA

Working days: Monday to Saturday (all Saturdays are working)

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

 


  • Team Management:

  •  
  • Lead and mentor a team of purchasing assistants, providing guidance and support.
  •  
  • Assign tasks, monitor performance, and provide timely feedback.
  •  
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
  •  
  • Procurement Planning and Execution:

  •  
  • Develop and implement effective procurement strategies to meet business objectives.
  •  
  • Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiating favorable terms and conditions.
  •  
  • Create and maintain accurate purchase orders, ensuring timely delivery of goods.
  •  
  • Monitor market trends and identify opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvements.
  •  
  • Supplier Relationship Management:

  •  
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, addressing any issues promptly.
  •  
  • Conduct regular performance reviews with suppliers to ensure quality and timely delivery.
  •  
  • Resolve supplier disputes and negotiate favorable terms and conditions.
  •  
  • Inventory Management:

  •  
  • Collaborate with the inventory team to optimize stock levels and minimize inventory costs.
  •  
  • Monitor inventory levels and identify potential shortages or overstocks.
  •  
  • Implement inventory control measures to prevent stockouts and excess inventory.
  •  
  • Financial Management:

  •  
  • Monitor and control procurement budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness.
  •  
  • Analyze purchasing data to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve efficiency.
  •  
  • Prepare accurate reports on procurement activities and financial performance.
  •  
  • Compliance and Risk Management:

  •  
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  •  
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with procurement activities.
  •  
  • Implement effective controls to prevent fraud and corruption.
  •  

Qualifications and Skills:

 


  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  •  
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  •  
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  •  
  • Proficiency in procurement software and systems.
  •  
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  •  
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  •  
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
