AS 400 with or withour Manhattan.We are looking for a skilled AS400 Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in developing and supporting applications on the AS400 platform. You will be responsible for analyzing business requirements, designing technical solutions, and implementing them using RPG, CL, and other AS400 technologies. Your role will also involve troubleshooting and resolving issues, optimizing system performance, and ensuring data integrity and security. You will work closely with other developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality software solutions that meet the needs of our organization. The successful candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a deep understanding of AS400 systems and programming languages. Your future duties and responsibilities Develop and maintain AS400 applications using RPG, CL, and other relevant technologies. Analyze business requirements and design technical solutions. Implement and test software solutions to ensure they meet business needs. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to AS400 applications and systems. Optimize system performance and ensure data integrity and security. Collaborate with other developers, business analysts, and stakeholders. Provide technical support and guidance to end-users. Document technical specifications and procedures. Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards. Stay updated with the latest AS400 technologies and best practices. Query/400 – Experience with ILE Advanced concepts (procedures, service programs, functions, free RPG coding syntax). • Experience with complex SQL concepts and programming – Experience with FTP concepts & Message Queues. • Experience creating, building, and maintaining different libraries in an AS/400 environment. • Excellent understanding of Database, DDS, sub files, RPG III or later & RPGLE programming concepts. • Excellent understanding of CL & OS/400 commands. • In-depth knowledge of SQL/400 and other AS/400 utilities.
