The position of Team Leader is the key position in these BIDs.Missions/Main Duties
- Develop and oversee the master project schedule and work breakdown structure.
- Coordinate between contractors, consultants, and client representatives.
- Review and approve engineering designs, drawings, and specifications.
- Monitor construction activities for compliance with technical standards and safety norms.
- Resolve technical issues in collaboration with field engineers and specialists.
- Lead a multidisciplinary team including civil, electrical, signaling, and track engineers.
- Assign responsibilities, monitor performance, and ensure team cohesion
- Conduct regular progress meetings and provide mentorship.
- Implement quality control procedures and ensure adherence to safety protocols.
- Conduct site inspections and audits to verify workmanship and material standards.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for the client and government authorities.
- Prepare and present progress reports, risk assessments, and mitigation plans.
- Facilitate approvals and clearances from regulatory bodies.
- Monitor contractor performance against contractual obligations.
- Review bills, change orders, and claims; assist in dispute resolution.
- Track project expenditures and support cost control measures.
Profile/Skills
- Graduate Degree in Civil Engineering with either MBA or Post- Graduation Diploma in Construction Management / Project Management - with minimum 15 Experience in Construction Industry OR
- (ii) Graduate Degree in Civil Engineering (preferably* with either MBA or Post graduation Diploma in Construction Management / Project Management) with at least 3 years’ experience in SAG or equivalent Grade or 10 years’ experience in JAG or equivalent grade and above of Engineering department of Railways and / or as GM and above in Civil engineering department in RITES/IRCON/RVNL or equivalent grade in Konkan Railway/MRVC/DFCCIL/any JVs or SPVs with Ministry of Railways, any Metro Rail Corporation either individually or combined.
