Job Description

Role Overview – Solace Engineer (AVP Level)

Min Exp - 8-12 Years

Solace Engineer,

Core Responsibilities

Infrastructure Build & Maintenance:
Deliver enterprise-grade infrastructure solutions with high reliability and performance, aligned to business needs.
Monitoring & Incident Management:
Monitor systems proactively; drive swift resolution using analytical insights.
Automation & DevOps:
Develop scripts and automation tools to eliminate manual tasks and enhance platform efficiency.
Security:
Apply secure configurations, adhere to cyber hygiene practices, and defend infrastructure from threats.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
Partner with product managers, engineers, and business teams to ensure solution alignment.
Continuous Learning & Innovation:
Stay updated with the latest middleware and infrastructure trends; contribute to internal tech communities.

Required Qualifications & Skills

Education:
Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent.
Technical Skills:
Application troubleshooting/debugging
OS fundamentals (Unix/Linux/Windows)
Scripting basics (Shell, Python, etc.)
Relational database understanding (SQL)
Knowledge of Agile and ITIL processes
Basic exposure to DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines
Soft Skills:
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.

Desirable/Preferred Skills

Middleware support experience (Solace, Tibco RV, MQ, etc.)
Experience in a 24x7 global infrastructure environment
Knowledge of
IB Front Office
systems &
trade lifecycle
Familiarity with
ticketing systems
(ServiceNow, JIRA)
Scheduling tools experience (Autosys or similar)
