Software Engineer II - SAP BO with SAP BW & Tableau

Job Responsibilities

• Executes standard software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting
• Writes secure and high-quality code using the syntax of at least one programming language with limited guidance
• Designs, develops, codes, and troubleshoots with consideration of upstream and downstream systems and technical implications
• Applies knowledge of tools within the Software Development Life Cycle toolchain to improve the value realized by automation
• Applies technical troubleshooting to break down solutions and solve technical problems of basic complexity
• Gathers, analyzes, and draws conclusions from large, diverse data sets to identify problems and contribute to decision-making in service of secure, stable application development
• Learns and applies system processes, methodologies, and skills for the development of secure, stable code and systems
• Adds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect
  

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 2+ years applied experience
• Hands on work experience in SAP BW on HANA and Business Objects toolset
• Exposure to latest SAP HANA Database version, Experience in creating HANA views and Stored Procedures using HANA studio and/or Eclipse
• Hands-on experience on SAP advanced ABAP programming & HANA SQL script and modeling knowledge
• Solid understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security
• Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
• Open minded to take on different roles (other than the primary skill set) and work on other technologies as needed.
• Identify efficiencies and ways to improve design, development and testing processes through automation or other means.
• Troubleshoot systems production/performance issues under tight deadlines.
• Proficient in coding in one or more languages like ABAP, Python etc
  

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills

• Strong Experience in Reporting tools such as Business Objects ,Tableau and/or Qlik Sense. Good Exposure to Modern Front-End Technologies and its integration with SAP BW system
• Hands-on Experience in BW on HANA Modelling
• Experience with scheduling jobs using a scheduling tool like Control-M
• Exposure to cloud-based solution development (SAP RISE, Databricks)
