Job Title: Software Developer – Python + Selenium Location: Hyderabad Experience: 5 to 10 Years Shift Timings: Preferred: US Shift (6 PM to 3 AM IST) Alternate: 3 PM to 11 PM IST About the Role We are looking for a passionate and experienced Software Developer with a strong foundation in Python and Selenium , who can work independently and has a deep understanding of automation frameworks. The ideal candidate will be someone who not only writes efficient code but also understands the "why" behind what they are building. You will be working on projects that demand a high degree of ownership, problem-solving ability, and technical versatility. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain automation test scripts using Python and Selenium . Work closely with QA, DevOps, and product teams to understand and automate test scenarios. Integrate and maintain Robot Framework or similar automation tools into the CI/CD pipeline. Write clean, reusable, and optimized code for testing and automation tasks. Proactively identify test automation opportunities and suggest improvements. Analyze testing needs, identify gaps, and build scalable solutions. Debug and troubleshoot complex issues across systems and test environments. Ensure test coverage and documentation for all automated test cases. Required Skills You must have either of the following skill combinations: Option 1: Strong experience in Python (70–80% proficiency or higher) Medium experience in Selenium (50–60% proficiency or higher) Option 2: Strong experience in Selenium (70–80% proficiency or higher) Medium experience in Python (50–60% proficiency or higher) Note : Interviews will begin with Python evaluation. If not up to the mark, the process will not continue to Selenium. Preferred/Bonus Skills Hands-on experience with Robot Framework or similar test automation tools. Understanding of software development lifecycle, automation testing concepts, and agile methodologies. Exposure to CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab, etc. Good understanding of object-oriented programming and scripting. Soft Skills & Additional Requirements Good logical reasoning, problem-solving mindset, and learning capabilities . Must be able to explain their role and decision-making clearly in past projects – understanding the "why" is key . Communication skills rating of at least 2.5/5 – must be able to articulate thoughts and questions clearly. Should be comfortable working in night shifts (US time zone) if required. Education Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (preferred but not mandatory if the experience is strong).
