Role Overview
We are seeking a highly technical and business-savvy
RPA and Professional Services Engineer
to join our growing Automations and Centralized Services Team. This role is hybrid in nature, combining
client-facing consulting
with
technical engineering
. You will work with small to mid-sized organizations to modernize their IT environments, automate business processes, and integrate AI solutions.The ideal candidate will have strong experience in
cloud environments
(like Azure and M365),
RPA/low-code tools
, and
Python
, with a deep understanding of
JSON, SQL
, and business workflows. You should be a “T-shaped” professional: strong in your technical depth but able to understand and communicate across other areas of the business.
Key Responsibilities
Client-Facing Cloud Engineering (Professional Services) – 50%
- Lead and support migrations from on-prem to cloud environments (e.g., Azure, SharePoint 365).
- Perform “lift-and-shift” cloud transitions including VM and SaaS onboarding.
- Integrate SaaS/PaaS platforms using tools like Make.com (Integromat), Power Automate, etc.
- Interface with client stakeholders to gather requirements and develop solutions.
- Support onboarding of business-critical tools and applications into secure, resilient environments.
RPA & AI-Driven Business Automation – 50%
- Build low-code/no-code RPA workflows for business process automation.
- Create custom automations using Python (and optionally Java).
- Manipulate and transform data using JSON and SQL, and connect APIs across platforms.
- Engineer AI-assisted workflows using prompt engineering and available AI tools.
- Define architecture and hand-off points between automation, human input, and AI agents.
- Document requirements, build process flows, and present outcomes to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in automation engineering, RPA, or cloud infrastructure.
- Proficient in Python, with ability to write robust automation scripts.
- Experience working with JSON, SQL, and API integrations.
- Prior hands-on experience with RPA platforms (e.g., Make.com, UiPath, Power Automate, Zapier).
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, Azure, and SharePoint Online.
- Demonstrated ability to lead client projects from discovery to delivery.
- Familiarity with prompt engineering and leveraging AI tools in workflow automation.
- Strong communication and consulting skills; comfortable gathering requirements and educating clients.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Java or other backend languages.
- Business operations or IT service experience.
- Security background or familiarity with resilient infrastructure practices.
Previous experience working at an MSP, consulting firm, or B2B SaaS company.
