Scientist – Product Development (Rubber) Location: Palej Unit Experience Required: 8–10 years in the rubber or polymer industry About the Role: We are looking for an experienced and driven professional to join our Product Development team. The ideal candidate will lead innovative projects focused on enhancing rubber performance through advanced carbon black technologies, hybrid fillers, and in-situ modifications. Key Responsibilities: Research and Innovation Develop functionalized carbon black using coupling agents to improve rubber performance Drive hybrid filler development combining carbon black and graphene for high-performance rubber compounds Explore in-situ surface modification within the carbon black reactor to improve application efficiency Technical Analysis and Problem Solving Perform detailed characterization and analysis using methods such as XPS, FTIR, XRD, and Raman spectroscopy Conduct root cause analysis on rubber extrusion issues, particularly related to surface roughness Collaborate with external laboratories for testing and validation Documentation and Reporting Submit patents (Indian and international) to protect intellectual property Publish technical reports and communicate findings across internal teams Work closely with process, marketing, and technical service teams for commercial rollout of new grades Process and Compliance Support DSIR documentation and compliance initiatives Collect and report development and cost data from plant locations on a regular basis Profile Requirements: MTech degree in chemical engineering (mandatory) Relevant industry experience in rubber compounding, carbon black development, or related fields Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Collaborative mindset with the ability to work across cross-functional teams Exposure to patent filing or product development projects is preferred Why Join Us: This is a unique opportunity to work on cutting-edge product development in a company known for its innovation, technical excellence, and global presence.
