Crypto Research Analyst

About the Role

We're seeking a Crypto Research Analyst to join our team. In this role, you'll conduct in-depth analysis of cryptocurrency projects, blockchain protocols, and market trends to inform investment decisions and strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Research and analyze blockchain protocols, tokenomics, and cryptocurrency projects to evaluate their technical foundations and potential
Monitor market trends, regulatory developments, and macroeconomic factors affecting the crypto ecosystem
Prepare detailed reports and presentations on emerging opportunities and risks in the crypto space
Build and maintain financial models to assess token valuations and investment potential
Track on-chain metrics and analyze blockchain data to identify patterns and opportunities
Stay current on new developments in DeFi, NFTs, Layer 1/2 solutions, and other crypto innovations
Collaborate with investment teams to develop and refine crypto investment theses
Participate in due diligence processes for potential investments

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Computer Science, or related field
2+ years of experience in crypto research, financial analysis, or related role
Strong understanding of blockchain technology, consensus mechanisms, and tokenomics
Experience with on-chain data analysis and blockchain explorers
Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills
Strong written and verbal communication abilities
Proficiency with data analysis tools and financial modeling.

Preferred Skills

Experience with crypto trading and portfolio management
Knowledge of smart contract programming (Solidity, Rust)
Familiarity with DeFi protocols and mechanisms
Understanding of regulatory frameworks affecting cryptocurrencies
Experience with on-chain data tools like Dune Analytics, Nansen, or Glassnode.
